Public Relations Account Manager (London)

Cicero/amo’s Corporate Communications team is looking to recruit an Account Manager to support its rapidly expanding client base. The role will involve autonomous client account management, providing strategic advice and creating PR and communications plans, content creation and copywriting, media engagement and account team coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Leading meetings with clients and taking responsibility for client account delivery across accounts.
  • Provide a senior and qualified voice in client meetings.
  • Building relationships with clients and prospects.
  • Attending journalist briefings and translating this into what it means for clients.
  • Writing and editing final copy of press releases, new business proposals, evaluation reports, speeches, presentations and feature copy for trade, corporate and business publications.
  • Alerting clients to PR risk.
  • Advising junior members of the team.

Skills required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous agency experience.
  • Experience and interest in consumer finance and corporate PR.
  • Creative and strategic approach to thinking about campaign ideas.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to finding solutions.
  • Strong account and client management and relationship building skills.
  • Exceptional writing ability.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience and a desire to manage junior members of a team
  • A complex understanding of how the media works, media landscape and key journalists (in the Competent understanding of social media strategy.
  • An ability to learn about a broad range of topics quickly.
  • An interest in new business and commercial awareness.
  • A willingness to multi-task and support the wider business wherever necessary.
  • Exceptional account management skills, with a flair for ensuring documents, plans and written materials are perfectly crafted.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • An acute eye for the detail – in both devising news stories and analysing campaign briefs.
